Lissa van Camp is Executive General Manager, Land, Planning, Environment and
Sustainability at Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA). Having joined SRLA in 2020, Lissa led the team responsible for Victoria’s first fully interactive digital Environment Effects Statement (EES) - a ground-breaking and innovative piece of work that secured the necessary approvals to build the SRL East rail infrastructure. For the past 20 years, Lissa has worked across Australia, making sure infrastructure projects have considered sustainability, environmental and social outcomes. As a highly accomplished and trusted expert, Lissa provides technical advice and leadership across major infrastructure project approvals, managing complex stakeholder relationships to cultivate a collaborative, transparent and delivery focused project culture. Lissa has a broad range of experiences, having started her career in academia before moving into consulting where she worked on flagship transport infrastructure projects. This ranged from channel deepening projects to regional road and rail projects, flood mitigation projects, and nuclear waste storage facilities. Lissa holds a PhD in marine molecular sciences from Flinders University in South Australia, and a Bachelor of Science with Honours from James Cook University in Queensland. Lissa was recently nominated as a finalist in the Women’s Achievement Award by Infrastructure Partnerships Australia.
Sarah is responsible for the Corporate Relations function and joined in September 2022. Sarah brings to
PoM over 20 years of experience leading corporate and regulatory affairs for both public and private
sector organisations. Sarah specialises in public affairs for highly regulated and complex industries,
across infrastructure, financial services and energy, most recently as national Director Public Affairs at
the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association. She has also held senior roles in Premier
and Ministerial offices and consulting firms such as FTI Consulting.
Ed Walker is the General Manager Major Construction Projects Victoria & SA Projects at the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC). He leads the delivery of ARTC’s projects across Victoria and South Australia, including the North East Rail Line Upgrade, Inland Rail and ARTC Airport Package of Melbourne Airport Rail projects.
Ed’s history with ARTC dates from 2014 to 2017 during which time he held the roles of Manager Infrastructure Strategy, GM Corporate Development and finally Director Customers, Service Offering & Terminals within the Inland Rail Leadership Team. His return to ARTC comes via John Holland, where he held the position of General Manager Strategy and Business Development.
Alexis is an industry leader with extensive experience in all stages of infrastructure delivery. This includes the development of strategies, project planning, planning and environmental approvals, funding submissions, design and construction in Australia and overseas.?
As Director of Program Services and Engineering for Major Road Projects Victoria, she oversees 15 projects in development and around 25 projects in construction. The projects are valued between $30m and $2b.?
Alexis is experienced across the transport sector in Victoria, having coordinated VicRoads inputs to Plan Melbourne and led growth area road network planning, business case development for 50 level crossing removals and three suburban road upgrade packages.
Inspired by the challenge to build sustainable transport infrastructure, Alexis was instrumental in establishing ecologiQ.
Peter is a passionate transport engineer with 20 years’ experience in transport infrastructure and planning. In his current role at Rail Projects Victoria, he is the Senior Precinct Manager for Parkville Station – one of the five new underground stations being delivered as part of Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel Project. A proud Tasmanian, Peter’s career has taken him to Europe, Asia and Oceania working in both public and private sector roles. His infrastructure experience spans land use development, precinct planning, level crossing removals, major road projects to metro rail
extensions. Peter is committed to connecting and growing safe and efficient movement across transport networks.
With over two decades of experience in the infrastructure sector, Vani is recognised as an engagement and project management specialist. She has extensive experience in policy and governance, government relations, strategic advisory and media within government and in the private sector. She has worked on and managed project and policy development, consultation, engagement, and communication for diverse projects across infrastructure, social infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, community, and sport.
She is skilled at understanding the needs of clients, stakeholders, and communities, identifying potential issues, and integrating best-practice, innovation and tested methods that best suits project needs.
Recent projects & positions include Program Manager for Major Transport Infrastructure Authority’s ecologiQ Project, the Strategic Advisor for Major Projects Canberra, the Director Communications, Consultation and Engagement for Inland Rail and Change Management Advisor for the Project Management Framework and Project Management Tool for Major Roads Projects Victoria Project Controls.
